The persecution

I spent two weeks making this comic, it's about six police that are looking for a robber and they go to Pluton, Saturn, Amazonic jungle and the city. I enjoyed making it and I hope you like it.

Greetings
Miguel

Fantastic Mr Fox

This book is written by Roald Dahl and illustrated by Quentin Blake. Is published in Penguin.
The main character Mr Fox is steling the food from three very mean farmers that are Boogies , Bunce and Bean. He has a family wife Mrs Fox and four children. Farmers don't like what Mr Fox is doing so they come up with the plan. Farmers want to catch the fox and kill him.

I enjoyed book a lot. I think it is very funny. I think that illustrations are very good. I like the way he draw.
Greetings
Miguel.

Circus Girl

This book, titled Circus Girl, is written and ilustrated by Tomek Bogacki, published by Frances Foster Books New York.

It tells us about  C-I-R-C-U-S  that is coming to town. New girl comes to school that is called circus girl. She helps two boys from the same class become friends the main character and the very shy one called Tim. You can find out that sometimes small things like smile and being nice to the other people can change your life for better.
The drawings I did not like so much because they are dark and not clear. Story itself is very interesting and worth reading.
Greetings
Miguel.

The Snail and the Whale

I've just finish reading the book The Snail and the Whale, written by Julia Donaldson and ilustrated by Axel Scheffler, published by Macmillan.

This book tells the story of a snail that would like to make a trip around the world, and a whale tells her that he could make her wish to come true.
Once there are on the trip the whale had some trouble, and the snail feel so small: ¿do you think that the small snail will be able to help the big whale? To know it you should read this nice book.
I'd like it a lot and I hope you will like too: it's a good story!
Greetings
Juan

In this video you can see that telling stories can be dangerous... Be careful with some storytellers.
We hope you enjoy the short film.

Big Fish

Yesterday we enjoy the film Big Fish. This film has been made by Tim Burton (do you remember Nightmare before Christmas, or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?) we like him a lot.
In this film the father tells lots of stories and you can confuse the real stories and the fiction tales. He is a great character, very optimist, and he fills all the film with his fantasy.
We hope you enjoy it too.

Le Grand Sommeil

Panic Au village is a series of stop motion animation created by Stephane Aubier and Vincent Patar that we enjoy a lot. Despite being in French, you can still understand and enjoy what is happening. We like the way the characters move and the way they talk. There are many more animations in the series and we will continue to post more of our favorites here.
For more information about the series, here is a link to the website. Enjoy!!

Western Spaghetti

This video is a stop motion animation that we think you will all enjoy.
Although the idea is simple we believe it is very cleverly made, especially the choice of materials used. Watch and see!

So what did you think about that? Please leave your comments...

Up

UP, directed by Bob Peterson, is by far one of our favorite animated films from the creators of Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. The main characters are Carl Fredericksen, a grumpy old man and Russell, a young boy scout who go on an unforgettable adventure together in search for a waterfall in South America, a place where Carl Fredericksen had always dreamed of living with his wife Ellie. This film is both funny and sad (especially for the adults!!) and can be enjoyed by all age groups. The music by Michael Giacchino, compliments the animation very nicely and gives a lot of emotion to the film. It was thoroughly enjoyed by our Grandparents, parents, our Au-pair Natasha (24!) and us! Make sure you watch it!

We're going on a bear hunt

Last week our father sent us this video.
You can watch Michael Rosen telling an English folktale: We're going on a bear hunt.
You can find his book also written in Spanish with illustrations by Helen Oxenbury, in Ekaré.
We learnt this story at school, it's very funny, enjoy it!

This is Hallowen

Next week we will celebrate Halloween, it's a scary party that we enjoy a lot.
Here is our favorite song about Halloween (from Nigthmare before Christmast, a great Tim Burton's film), and after the videoclip you can read the lyrics.

Boys and girls of every age
Wouldn't you like to see something strange?
Come with us and you will see
This, our town of Halloween
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Pumpkins scream in the dead of night
This is Halloween, everybody make a scene
Trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright
It's our town, everybody screm
In this town of Halloween
I am the one hiding under your bed
Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red
I am the one hiding under yours stairs
Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song
In this town, don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise
Round that corner, man hiding in the trash cam
Something's waiting no to pounce, and how you'll...
Scream! This is Halloween
Red 'n' black, slimy green
Aren't you scared?
Well, that's just fine
Say it once, say it twice
Take a chance and roll the dice
Ride with the moon in the dead of night
Everybody scream, everbody scream
In our town of Halloween!
I am the clown with the tear-away face
Here in a flash and gone without a trace
I am the "who" when you call, "Who's there?"
I am the wind blowing through your hair
I am the shadow on the moon at night
Filling your dreams to the brim with fright
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween!
Tender lumplings everywhere
Life's no fun without a good scare
That's our job, but we're not mean
In our town of Halloween
In this town
Don't we love it now?
Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back
And scream like a banshee
Make you jump out of your skin
This is Halloween, everyone scream
Wont' ya please make way for a very special guy
Our man jack is King of the Pumpkin patch
Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song
La la-la la, Halloween! Halloween! [Repeat]

Annie b sweet

We like this singer a lot, she is called Annie b sweet, here you can watch the videoclip of the song which made her famous.

The lyrics:

I’ll never understand why
your voice is so related to my mind
“Wrong” it’s not in your noise
Hidden feelings on the top of the roof
And it’s unreachable, and illogical
Blocking my mind, blocking my mind, blocking my mind

[estribillo]
Oh Oh, I’m driving on a motorway
Chaos is the name of the road
Hey, and I’m following the signs of the road
Because I can’t go on on my own, I can’t go on on my own

Oh Oh, Oh Oh, Oh Oh

And I am working on building up a wall in my heart
So little soldiers of war don’t try to climb it up
And I am working on building up a railing in my mind
So before getting in
you must knock on me,
You must knock on me,
you must knock on me

[estribillo]

Oh Oh, Oh Oh, Oh Oh
Oh Oh, Oh Oh, Oh Oh
